But what I exemplify may not be so much courtesy as fear. I'd rather follow the rules and be nice to other drivers than deal w/ auto insurance companies.

I slow down to let people merge.
I get *some* that acknowledge it. Most don't.
I think of my son's, who just started driving, and how
I would like to be treated.

But my mom's 2017 Subaru has a backup camera. It beeps if you try to change lanes without signaling.
