You can hear her breathe in places where she shouldn't be breathing, because she doesn't have the strength or capacity to sustain the line. I just looked her up; she's moved into "classical crossover," which is what some singers do when they can't quite hack the demands of opera. It's also more lucrative. Andrea Bocelli, who often sings flat, and Sarah Brightman, another singer who started very young, are examples of this.

That isn't too often, obviously. I think some 13 year old girl did something similar on the US version of the show.

And, indeed, usually they follow the advice, as Amira did. I forget if I posted a clip with English subtitles or not (I speak Dutch, so I wouldn't have noticed), but when asked, she said she just imitated what she had heard on youtube. Just that one in ten million talent that can do that at age 9. She also said that she had never had a voice coach. However, you can bet that professionals were knocking at her door the day after the performance to warn her not to ruin her future by singing things that could destroy her voice early. She said that she chose to sing an opera piece for the talent show merely because she liked it when she heard it on youtube. She had no way of knowing anything at all about the mechanics of the game.
