You must keep an eye out to keep in check.
I trap them and then release about five miles away at a local land preserve.

Cute but.....

Those teeth can do an enormous amount of damage.

This individual squirrel might be somewhat tame, but this is still not a domesticated animal.

I have made friends with squirrels in the green space outside my apartment. They are so trusting of people because we feed them and take care of them. I know we probably shouldn't but it's so hard to resist them. I just love them. I think they are so adorable!

I always brake for squirrels - just did that earlier today and everything flew all over my car - but they deserve a safe road crossing.
