The Gilligan's Island election

My wife was reading on her Nook this weekend and burst out laughing. Not sure what site she was on, but someone characterized this as the Gilligan's Island election:

You're stranded on the island, who do you want in charge? Thurston Howell III, or the Professor?
(apologies to those too young to remember this rather dumb show from the early days of TV)

I take it Jon Huntsman is the Professor. He was the only Repub candidate with any brains at all and believes in sciency stuff.

It was interesting how each one fit so well.

Mitt as the rich guy
Newt as the asshole skipper
Perry as the slow one

And as usual, Paul is the odd man out
