Workmen are finishing up the plumbing and electrical, and installing the new appliances in our kitchen. It's my day off from babysitting them and I'm hiding out at the movies.

(16,334 posts)how could anyone ever get all of it into the movie? I was an arcade teen so the references in the book took me right back there. I don't think you'd need to have read the book to enjoy the movie though. It's the kind I'd like to see again to catch stuff I may have missed.

Anyway, movie starting in two minutes. I'll report back after.

(12,618 posts)I have NOT read the book, but have no doubt that it's better. Books almost always are. But from someone who only saw the movie, it stands quite well on its own.
