Oh, lucky you! Is there an elevator in the CN Tower? If not, I won't be able to see the view...I'm not afraid of heights!

Have a great time, and I hope you can take lots of pictures...

You wouldn't want to try walking up that tower especially after having had that knee surgery!! That's a LOT of stepping.

I hate stairs...even before the surgery, I hated them...

I'm going to be there in the fall; maybe I'll get a chance to see it.

and that climb has been done in just over 10 minutes!

You'd need hellish good knees for that.

10 minutes? Yikes...

Even in my prime (ha!) my knees were never that good.

Thank goodness for elevators.

one of the elevators has glass panels in the floor (in addition to the walls). so if you look down while riding the elevator, you can see the ground.

Toronto has such a good vibe, I think it would be a really fun city to live in. For visiting, I think Montreal is more fun for the tourists (and it's completely bilingual).

Saw the CN Tower today; tomorrow, a Jays game and possibly "War Horse" on stage. Thursday, a concert my brother has been waiting roughly 30 years to see, and Friday, Niagara Falls, maybe, if we have time.

And, oddly enough, this trip has turned into a period of remembrance for our father, who died 3 years ago this month.

To get there just grab a Eastbound College streetcar and get off at Grace, it's a 10 minute ride from Yonge and College. If you like Greek go to Greektown which is a 10 minute subway ride from downtown. For Chinese check out King Noodle at Spadina and Dundas, their barbeque duck, pork and chicken are delicious. If you have the time definitely check out Toronto neighborhoods.

You might also find interesting Toronto Then and Now, several photographers get old photos from Toronto archives and then take photos in the exact location and then chat about the city and its architecture. It's fun and really gives visitors a sense of the city.

Was also fun to take the ferry out to Ward's Island.

I was there during the long garbage strike in 2009 and was impressed with how clean the city was --you had to pack your garbage instead of tossing it into cans on the sidewalk.

Canadians are awesome --if I can generalize.

on the glass floor? Walk outside, on the sky deck? (Not the harnessed walk)

The Old Spaghetti Factory is an amazing place to eat if you're looking for good food in a fun atmosphere.

Kensington Market is really cool too.

I miss home

I hope you have an amazing time there.

But thanks for the rec. It's right across the street from our hotel, the Novotel. Last night, we had dinner at the Harbor 6 Steakhouse. I had to take out a mortgage in order to afford dinner for two, but it was worth it. Fantastic meal! Best steak, best Caesar salad, best bread pudding I've ever had!

Once, I swear I heard the floor creak. That just about freaked me out. Everything on me that normally tends toward a southerly direction headed north as fast as it could!
