Watch this adorable cat jump at horror movie 'Psycho'

SALT LAKE CITY — Scaredy-cat. The phrase is more than just an expression for a timid person — it's a real thing. This video of a cat watching the classic horror movie "Psycho" has garnered almost 6 million views in two years.

Suspenseful music, slamming doors, hurried footsteps and one adorable cat. What could go wrong? Quite a lot for this poor, unsuspecting cat.

So engrossed in the film, at one point in the video the cat tucks its paws under its chest and leans forward with widening eyes, dilating pupils and twitching ears as the music and tension builds.

"Mrs. Bates," says a woman's raspy voice in half surprise and half question. And then the famous scream.

Amazing how fast his pupils can enlarge and shrink. My cats only attack Tom Servo or Crow T. Robot when I watch a DVD of MST3K.

3. Not really a "real thing", but cute

There’s no TV screen reflected in the cat’s eyes, and at the beginning you can briefly see the shadow of whatever it is that is being used to keep the cat’s attention. It’s a well done cute clip.

A bird toy of some sort. If you look closely, you can see the shadow of the toy moving back and forth . The whole thing with horror movie sound... it’s perfect!

I saw "Psycho" for the first time when the film society showed it in college and I wasn't right for a year. I wouldn't wish that on my cat!
