I hate it! I feel like we have gone from a miserable long winter to a brief, cold, rainy spring, to a suddenly hot humid summer. What ever happened to having a real spring with balmy 60 degree, breezy dry days before we hit the dog days of summer?
My building doesn't turn on the AC until Memorial Day weekend so I am lying here in front of a fan with ice packs all over me. I dislike the cold, but I really hate the heat because I can't sleep. At least I can sleep in the cold, but the heat and humidity make it impossible.
Sorry for being so whiny. I am not a fan of hot weather. I wish I had the money to migrate with the seasons. Rant over.

(63,221 posts)in. I can crank it all summer long and I don't have to pay for it. I try not to over-do it, but on those particularly hot days, it's a blessing. Most people I know have to pay hundreds more every month for AC if they don't live in a building like mine.

(63,221 posts)I just want it to stay that way for at least another month. I just love cool, dry weather.

(63,221 posts)Right now, I raided my Amazon Fresh cooler bag and put the gel packs in the freezer to use as personal body coolers to sleep with! You have to be resourceful sometimes!
FYI, I am one of those people who sleeps w/ the window open when it's 35 degrees out. I grew up like that so I'm used to sleeping in the cold.

(9,258 posts)Had to wear the ugly sweater and turn on the space heater, the AC kicked in and I made the mistake of wearing short sleeves since it was 85 outside. Think I'll just wear long sleeves all year now.

(21,942 posts)1000 is normally considered "very high."
It is MISERABLE.
(Presumably caused by the unusually long cold spell followed immediately by high temperatures.)
