Wide open in plain view: crows! Had mocking bird nest in a tomato plant, plant wilted, eggs hatched, crows saw the little guys, never made adulthood.

Just a little camouflage, so the nest won't be so obvious to any predators flying overhead.

I know it's not optimal food for them, so I don't feed them that every day, but it keeps them out of the dry cat food outside.
