Meet the fierce, fun-loving ladies (and gentlemen) of Flint roller derby
The Flint roller derby team consistently works toward a goal of being the best in Michigan, and climbing the ladder to become a higher-ranked team in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association.
That's no easy task, but it's one these ladies are striving toward. The crew of 18 women, two referees and three coaches are working out in twice-weekly scrimmages and pushing each other through CrossFit workouts, as well as skilled skating exercises and game-time strategy meetings.
Their first home game of the 2018 season fast-approaching on Saturday, May 5 at Rollhaven Skate & Fun Center, located at 5315 S. Saginaw Rd. in Grand Blanc Township.
