.....went home the next day. No catheter, walking around as usual. Slight pain, mostly from being a little constipated from the meds. This is the second procedure of this type I've had in the past year. This time it was done with robotics at Loma Linda University Hospital in Southern California. Sooooo much easier, and quicker recovery time.
Proud of myself for being such a bad-ass at almost 70 years old...in 3 months. Let's hope THIS TIME it works! And, added bonus, I've lost another 2 pounds, for a total of 32.8 in the past 6 months. OK, I'll try to stop being so smug!

(2,682 posts)I came very close to having the same surgery --went to pre op appointment and the very next day I cancelled, or more accurately, I chickened out. Found out later the problem was a side effect of a blood pressure med I was taking. Changed meds and problem gone.

(426 posts)...I don't feel much like a bad ass today. My stitches hurt, and I feel like I just had a C-Section, without the baby to show for it! And, for some stupid reason, I can't sleep. 4 days post-op, so maybe it's part of the normal cycle for those things.
