The first one looks like it might fall into the sea (maybe that's why it isn't there any more), but it's certainly more attractive than its replacement.

What a shame. It must have been a classy place, and fun to stay in, especially during a storm. Too bad it was replaced so inelegantly. (I think autocorrect probably got you. )

The picture of that magnificent house burning is breath-taking. But remember, the money to build that house came from the labor--sometimes the labor unto death--of our brothers and sisters who often had no home at all, or enough to eat. You think the cops are being called on innocent folks today--if one of the workers whose labor built this house were found wandering around looking at it, he or she would probably be shot on sight.

The house is beautiful, but the passage of time and the loss of upper-class privilege (and "elegance&quot are not bad things for the working class.
