(20,186 posts)I picked up a 20th anniversary DVD recently. It included a great conversation between Rob Reiner and Nora Ephron about making it. It turns out the conversation in the diner when Sally mentions that sometimes women fake orgasms was a conversation that Nora and Rob actually had. Meathead said "Well they don't with me."
So in the script it was just them talking about it. At the table read, it was Meg Ryan who suggested she could really fake it, and the rest is history!

(8,050 posts)And Fred McMurray plays such a contemptible boss.
McMurray I think is so good at playing unlikeable characters. "Double Indemnity" and "The Caine Mutiny" being prime examples.

Best lines:
"You make me want to be a better man."
And...
"I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do,... And the fact that I get it makes me feel good, about me."

(40,210 posts)It is not just one of my favorite movies, but it is one of my all time favorite movies. I have lost count of how many times I've watched it.
I still laugh out loud that Mildred Natwick, who plays Jane Fonda's mother, is suppose to be 50 years old and they talk about her and treat her like she is 85.
