He did it every day for a year. For the first eight months, before my surgery he did it because I couldn't lift my left arm due to the damage to the shoulder. I tried lifting that arm with the other and resting the elbow against a wall, but really couldn't do much more than put a hair tie on. Back then my hair was so long it got in the way and I couldn't brush it out of my face on the left side.

After the surgery my arm was immobilized for six weeks. He'd help me shower and dress and then braid my hair for me. Until I got into physical therapy and got the strength back in the left arm he still did it. I would not have made it through that time (or all the other surgeries since then) without him. He is a very good person.
