Jane Fonda at 80

She sure doesn't look it! That's a lot of plastic surgery to look that way as an octogenarian.

My question for the women here: if you had the financial means, would you undergo the cosmetic surgery to look as young as Jane Fonda at 80?

My question for the men here: would you want your wife to get the multiple face lifts required to look anything like this at 80?

A constraint it would be up to her. If that is what she wanted so be it. I would love her either way.

I have never agreed with the pressure put on women by society when it comes to appearance but it is undeniable.

Of beauty....
There are many older women who have not had so many costly procedures that look amazing. I could post a picture of my grandmother and mom for starters...instead, I'll post some more familiar ladies.

I think people are simply stunning when they embrace themselves, flaws and all. I think that beauty isn't lessened with time, it's enhanced! The vertical lines (some call them the "elevens &quot that form between the eyes highlight a concerned spirit. The vertical lines that frame ones mouth help to outline a smile. The best part, is that it's all customized to reflect that individual's personality. It enhances their beauty.
So, no. Even with all the money in the world.....I don't think my mom, grandmother, or great grand-aunt, or I would change a thing.

but as the one who would go under the knife... well, if I thought I'd look like HER, for sure I'd do it. But you know, she was beautiful at 20 too. If most of us had plastic surgery, the best in the world, we still wouldn't look like her.

Her voice has gotten more husky and sexy as she gets older, that's the truth.

and yes, she looks fantastic for 80, but I'd never do it even if I had the money. I don't enjoy surgery. She has been very honest about her surgeries and her body image problems over her lifetime and for that I give her kudos. It's her work outside of Hollywood that I admire, even though I do absolutely love her Grace and Frankie series.

I'm 61 and I have a considerable turkey neck from aging and weight loss that I would fix in a heartbeat. I don't have a problem with the lines on my face.

If I ever get to my goal weight I would get the loose skin on my body removed.

I saw Book Club and IMHO, Jane looks great, but it's in such a high maintenance way. The makeup, false eyelashes and fake hair make her look so plastic and frankly, not that much younger. She is very fit though and very thin.

Diane Keaton, on the other hand, hasn't gotten any PS. She does wear a lot of scarves though, which tells me she is self conscious about her neck. Personally, I'd just go ahead and get a neck lift, not to look younger, just better.

I am lucky though in that I was never the prettiest girl in the room. I'm the funny one, the smart one, the girl next door type. I'm not hung up about losing my looks because I never had them.

alone in thinking that Jane Fonda looks ridiculous, so no, I wouldn’t get myself plasticized if I had the money. I would hope that I would have the self-respect to age more or less naturally.

Why not look like the age you feel? No matter how old I get (I’m 70) I still feel like I’m 20 to 25.

That’s very real for people. We older people really and honestly feel just like we did at that age.

It’s a daily shock to see what we look like in the mirror.

Although there really are advantages to being our age. Real advantages.

Remember what Farrah Fawcett or Meg Ryan looked like?

After two drastic rounds of cancer surgery, my wife has seen enough of hospitals and clinics. Besides, she looks fabulous for her age, and is quite content to leave it that way.

If it's to save her life, OK. But to remove a few wrinkles? No way in the world!
