(34,104 posts)I hope (really hope) it is not lame. I have not listened to them in a while but have seen them probably 3 or 4 times. I was a really big fan. I hope to be as surprised as I was by Ringo. I went to that just for fun, even took my 30 year old kids and we all loved it, it was not lame at all. He is back on tour this year and if you ever liked the Beatles or just want to see Ringo and his All Starr Band I would recommend it.
I sure hope Ian Anderson is still the front man that he was. 50 year later? Hope so..

(19,459 posts)They played a lot of stuff from the Aqualung album. Totally over the top performance: costumes, etc. .
Golden Earring was the opener. Radar Love was the first song they played.
A great time was had by all.
Well...except for one of our friends, who sliced open his hand while trying to open a bottle of Mateus in a somewhat mind-altered state.

(34,104 posts)in KC when a bunch of younger kids started throwing lit firecrackers from the balcony. Ian Anderson stopped playing and left the stage with the rest of the band. We were so pissed off by both the firecrackers that had actually hurt someone and the fact that the concert was over by the 3rd song. Ian came out on stage and was furious and told the kids that were throwing them that others would take care of them but if one more firecracker went off he was leaving. Thankfully everything was fine after that.
I have always wished I could hear some of Songs From The Wood in concert. To me that was the absolute best of all of the albums but I would not turn away from a single one.
