Joseph Gordon Levitt in 500 Days of Summer. This number was waaaaay too short, and thoroughly infectious. "The morning after."

(37,648 posts)That musical number in 500 Days blew me away...it was perfectly choreographed, the music was perfect, it was witty (they were all high fiving him - in his mind - for scoring Deschanel the night before), and he moves so well.
Oh, I forgot. I saw a HORRIBLE movie he was in and I think wrote it. Absolutely teenage vulgar trash...not good adult humor. Just a teen movie. It went straight to DVD after the release, I think.
Anchors Aweigh: Loved it! It was great! I'll look for others, if he has more.

(20,211 posts)I loved it - LOL! It made $30M box office on a $3M budget, so it did okay. BTW, I'm 61.

(37,648 posts)One of the best musical numbers in a movie ever. Not so sure about that third one.

(54,436 posts)I realize the rest of them were Canadian, but Helm's Arkansas twang colored every Band song that he sang on.

(37,648 posts)There are others in the movie Woodstock that I would choose over that one, I think. But that one is for sure infectious and exciting. There were MANY in Woodstock that were infectious and exciting. Awesome movie we'll never see the likes of again. Great choice, IMO.

(54,436 posts)As a guitar player, this one stood out to me, but "infectious and exciting" could just as easily apply to the performances of Richie Havens and Sly and the Family Stone.

(37,648 posts)I'm retired now, but when I worked, on many days when I woke up, I'd sing that song to my pets while I made coffee and got ready for work. For real! Probably because my radio alarm station would play that song every morning at the same time. Put me in a good mood for the day.
I think Good Mornin' is more infectious than Singin' in the Rain, what with the tap dancing and the tune and Debbie Reynolds' voice and all.
