I asked at the little Boulder Post Office. A nice lady who has lived in Boulder, Utah for decades.
She said some have gone over and lived. She didn't really mention any fatalities.
The postal carrier dude was there also. He drives over it 6 days a week he said. I guess you'd get comfortable?

drive it at night. As with others, my thought was, "What, not even any guardrails?

We traveled it 4 years ago and it was socked in weather and light snow.
I didn't realize the hazard because I couldn't see well. We towed our car then also.
Wow, glad I didn't know...LOL
