Ingredients
¼ cup water
¼ cup condensed tomato soup
2 (¼ ounce) packets unflavored gelatin
2 cans Spaghetti-Os
In a large pot, pour in your water and condensed tomato soup, then sprinkle the gelatin on top.
Allow gelatin to bloom in the water, about 5-10 minutes.
Once gelatin has bloomed, stir together lightly.
Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium, then keep stirring occasionally until the gelatin has completely dissolved, and the mixture is quite smooth and liquidy.
Turn off the heat and add the Spaghetti-Os to the pot. Mix until well-combined, then pour evenly into 4 cup ring mold. Refrigerate mold for 4 hours or overnight.
When ready to serve, loosen mold by placing in a bowl of warm water, then invert onto a plate.
Serve with Vienna sausages.

(29,811 posts)My high school cafeteria used to put shredded carrots and canned peas in either lime of lemon jello. Truly vile.

(131,254 posts)When one of these salads appeared by each of our plates at one Sunday dinner many years ago, my brother and I (we were teenagers) and my dad gave each other the side-eye and burst out laughing. Mom accused us of having dirty minds, to which we pled guilty. She didn't serve "candle" salads again.

(29,811 posts)I laughed until I cried, just picturing the scene at your table. I think you had a photo of that salad. Topped with whipped cream, if I recall, so really suggestive for those having reached puberty.
I tried to find a good image, but couldn't.
