I got a voice mail from my supervising physician, telling me "some changes are going to be made".
Scared the hell out of me. Thought for sure I was going to be fired for some reason.
Jittering a little, I returned his call.
Turns out, he is resigning as medical director of our clinic. My job is fine. In fact, he says he will be looking hard for the right doctor to help me "carry on the good work you have been doing".
So, I'm of two minds; on the one hand, I'm glad that not only is my job safe, but he thinks I'm doing very well. On the other hand, I'm sorry to see him go. He is a good doctor, and an enjoyable teacher. He is almost painfully shy, though. It made me wonder how he can do a job that requires close, and often intimate, contact with people all day.
And who knows what a new supervising physician will bring?
Anyway, hope all is well with my Lounge peeps. I love you all...

Well, you know that change is always scary.
Esp. when you have zero control over it, as is the case this time.
I'm betting that your supervisor will be beating the bushes looking for a good replacement! Not to worry...
