Heres something you likely have never heard of that affects you almost every time you do your grocery shopping slack-fill.

(37,449 posts)its happening with everything, notice how saving cream doesn't seem to last, toilet paper doesn't go as far, paper towels , and number of liquids. I still have a container of dental floss it was 100yrds. its been around a long time.

(15,805 posts)I thought everyone looked at the weight or the count to determine the best cost ratios. Personally, I want to see the bags filled with a lot of air (it's actually nitrogen)because it preserves freshness and cushions the chips during shipping so they aren't as likely to get crushed before I get the bags home.
I purchase the chips by the ounce, not the size of the bag. The same thing applies to many other foods from cereals, cookies and crackers, the bags are inflated for good reason. Whether its bags, canned goods, bottles or boxes, the bottom line is to always look for the price, then the weight, and do a little math to find the best buy.

A half gallon isnt 2 quarts, its 1.5 quarts.
