I really want to trade jobs with someone -- not sure how to pull it off.

Ever meet with someone and leave think “OMG, I really need to trade jobs with that person?”

I had that experience recently. The person I talked to is, on a lot of levels, unsuited for the job she has. However, the position is incredibly well-suited to my skills, experience and interests. What’s more, the job I do, which is only a middling fit for me, would suit her perfectly.

Not sure what to do about this. Even if she agreed, there is no guarantee that my employer would hire her if I quit – or that her employer would hire me if she quit.

Life is weird.

I would think it would be wise to draw up a contract between the two of you, just to be sure that nobody backs out of the deal and leaves the other one hanging.
