The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI shared a picture of a peanut butter & bacon sandwich on facebook and my friends freaked out
Actually it was a grilled PB&B sandwich.
My mom made them for me as a kid and I always loved em and still eat it regularly but hadn't shared a pic until last night.
Apparently none of them had heard of it before and it blew their minds.
PB&B used to be such a popular flavor combination that Skippy made bacon flavored PB.
Am I alone in loving this awesome sandwich?

(24,259 posts)most people will use too much butter on the bread and it gets soggy or prevents the bread from browning when they make a grilled cheese etc
The secret is to lightly butter the bread but every part of the surface, then get it on a hot pan
A thin layer is absorbed by the bread so the bread grills, not the butter.
