My beard is all but identical to Letterman's, but perhaps a little more robust than his. All the senior men in my family have full beards, and my wife is cool with it as all the males in her family have beards too.

Pre beard his face/head looked more oval. Rectangular just didn't suit him & his body shape, my opinion. You like your beard, your wife likes it, your opinion & option.

Letterman looks like he's been living on the street for a year and a half. I HATE his beard. It doesn't look right, it doesn't suit him. I have no idea what he could be thinking.
