I *think* I'm hungry but don't know what to eat.
Should I go ahead and eat something I really don't care for, e.g., roasted beets, because I can't taste them?

(6,530 posts)Get vegetable broth and tofu, you don't need the fat. Fatty food can lead to more mucus.
Spicy, herby, full of vegetables, protein & fluid, and dirt cheap. Get some pho.

(33,471 posts)If that doesn't work, try homemade chicken soup with lots of garlic.
Also, drink lots of your favorite juice, because you need lots of fluids to clear up your cold.
Or, if you're not into juice, drink lots of filtered, sodium-free water.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
