No spoilers on the first episode, but I will say Whittaker is brilliant!! She certainly IS "The Doctor"!!

(18,713 posts)I thought they did a nice job with the transition to this season. Looking forward to seeing what's next. (I don't go back as far as you...the 5th was my first Doctor. Tom Baker did certainly set the bar though.)

Still, I did enjoy the episode and thought Jodie Whittaker was quite good.

(14,884 posts)....where some people were trying to work out the location in Sheffield of scenes that were clearly filmed in a studio!
Also, train cranks were irked to see the train carriage was clearly not one used on the Sheffield to Manchester line (although that may say more about train cranks)
