So I got a Turkey dinner takeout and some wine and spent the day with Hallmark having a good and deep sentimental wallow.

Strangely therapeutic for a cynic such as myself. Still find it odd, but do not begrudge them for what they bring to others who need the fantasy.

Never have watched it again, but will if I need a solitary wallow.

No turkey in Scotland, though, so had Thanksgiving haggis.

I used to watch Murder, She Wrote with my grandmother. I like the mystery shows - most of them - I have no interest in Christmas romance movies and this crap goes on for three months!

Christmas movies last year. She's a young set designer and had been in LA less than a year so it was a really big deal for her.

I recorded the movie so I could watch it at my leisure. And I tried to watch it. I really did. At least 3 different times. But I never made it all the way through. I finally fast forwarded to the end so I could see her name in the credits. Lol.

I think my daughter just skipped through the movie to see her sets and her name. Even though we laughed about how bad the movie was it didn't dampen our excitement. Her name looked really great in the credits!

A job is a job in the film business. Many years ago, my aunt had a small part in a dumb testosterone packed action film that I would never have watched normally. Everyone in my family rented it when it came out and fast forwarded to her small scene. I don't think anyone watched the whole thing.

Its nice if someone likes hallmark film but they are just not for me. I have tried watching a couple.

I've seen a couple of interracial relationships, and Lifetime had one where not only was there an interracial relationship, most of the cast was black and there were just a few white people.

I'd prefer more diversity and even some same sex partnerships, but at least they're evolving that way.

Love the SNL skit. If i squint real hard during those sappy movies maybe i can pick out the 1 person of color whose either a trusty sidekick or a non-speaking crowd filler. I guess that counts for something in the Hallmark world of mostly all things white

With all the same plot staring an old has been child star and takes place in white city with one or none black characters. Sounds like a conservative paradise. I hate these movies for their lack of originality. Mean hell SNL made a spoof pointing it all out.

I like Murder, She Wrote, Monk, Dick Van Dyke - even a couple of the mystery movies aren't too bad. But these aren't mysteries, who are they supposed to appeal to?? And they did the same damn thing back in July! I am not ready for Christmas, nor winter, and these look like "romance" movies to me - Leave that to Lifetime where they belong!
