It's 'in the works'
The revival centers on Dr. Joel Fleischman, played by Morrow, who returns to Cicely, Alaska, for the funeral of an old friend and finds a new set of quirky characters and reunites with old ones in this continuation of the classic series.

(72,187 posts)That was before I discovered what a right-wing nutjob she was.
I understand she and Rob Morrow clashed on a few occasions. I'm pretty sure his politics are further to the left than hers...

(43,850 posts)Howd that happen? They did the interiors at a big old ex Adidas warehouse in Redmond WA and my son went to school with the daughter of an assistant director. We got to be friends and they were very nice about letting people visit. Once you were there they were happy to let you be one of the people hanging out in The Brick. I went three times, and it was a blast.

(24,722 posts)That is so cool nolabear! I was such a fan. NE reminds me of living in a small Montana town in winter. Its dark and cold and people are odd and wonderful at the same time. So, was Janine Turner a RW nut back then?

(43,850 posts)She and I interacted only twice, neither pleasant. Once I was standing behind the cameraman, not in the scene but just watching, and she got mad because my presence disrupted her concentration. She could have been far nicer. The other was a scene where she punches Joel in the nose. Another woman and I were told to stand behind them at the juke box. When she drew back to fake hit him she real hit me on the back of my head. She didnt even acknowledge it, just got huffy because we were too close.
Rob Morrow wasnt very friendly but he was okay. I dont think we ever interacted. Everyone else was really nice. I loved the minor players. In the few days I was there they treated me like a person.

(43,850 posts)One of the Assistant Directors and I met because our kids went to the same school. Every now and then theyd say Want to go visit the set? And of course I did. Id watch them film and eventually one of the production people would say Want to be in this one! Always in The Brick, where you see people milling around.
I went up to Roslyn once to watch them film. Its a very tiny town near the mountains. As far as I know they still have Chriss KBR window. Been a long time though.
When they stopped they auctioned everything off. I bought two things, the Last Supper Club sign, which sadly was lost in a move, and the big Cowichan sweater Graham Green wore as Leonard. I still wear that when it gets really cold. I had SUCH A CRUSH. 😄
