Not because I'm being sarcastic - because I truly despise Nickleback and it is gratifying that I am not alone. I have a friend in Montreal and he agrees - he is totally embarrassed they exported them. No matter how many Rushes or Alex Trebeks or Kids in the Halls come from the great white north, Nickleback fucks them all over.

Here's how bad Nickleback really is: compared to them that Don Cherry fellow looks pretty awesome.

They suck!

Why the fuck are they labeled an "Alternative" band? if they are "Alternative" the term has lost all meaning.

The Axis of Evil, folks. The meme hatched in a Canadian brain.

I'm trying to figure out why his wife (who got him fired for boasting to all her friends about that one) is big at Huffington Post, which I'd always thought was regarded as respectable.

She is the step daughter of legendary cranky conservative Peter Worthington. And Frum's sister Linda has a nice cushy job in the senate for the next few decades. The poisoned apples don't fall far from this tree.

But as abhorrent as his politics are, his bluster is entertaining, and I don't think he pretends to be a genius as a self-described redneck (which he claims as a badge of pride, as one's neck is only red if you're outside working!).

Which I abhor, but I give him his due on hockey knowledge. He knows the game, inside and out, and is almost always right on his comments, about players, rules, etc.
He stands by what he says and he stands up for players over management.

Mediocre food, obnoxious ads.

We owe Windsorites an apology for the "Windsor Hum" -- a weird low frequency noise that has bothered residents of Windsor for the past two years. Seismologists have pinpointed the source as Zug Island, an artificial island in the Detroit River on the Michigan side which is home to a U.S. Steel plant and a DTE Energy generating plant. The Windsor Hum first appeared about 2 years ago when the U.S. Steel plant was retooled and opened for production after having been shut down for a few years.
