I'm supposed to go to my interview today. My friend, a former HR person, was going to help me with my resume, but I haven't heard from her. Now I'm worried. Don't care about the resume so much, since the job is just a transfer in-house, but I'm worried about her. She's not one to be incommunicado for so long.

(12,272 posts)Pull your resume together now, just in case she has had something come up. Good luck on your interview!

(16,862 posts)I have one, but she said it needed more to it. If, after 25 years, they don't know me, I don't know what a resume is going to accomplish.
I called a mutual friend. She hasn't heard from her since Friday. She's going to try to call her on her cell and see what's up.

(130,768 posts)On a similar topic, friend was to pick me up at metro, after my trip out of town for daughter's graduation. I texted and called and texted and called repeatedly, to let him know I'd arrive about 5r:30. I finally took taxi to friend's house. SILLY guy had turned his phone OFF, to nap, thinking I'd return 'after 6!'
SO, one never knows.

(16,862 posts)She's very hard to read. It was a typical interview, the kind they give to all new associates. Nothing really stepped outside of the line, nothing that portrayed anything that I've done for the hotel on a daily basis. Now it's a wait and see, I guess.
That said, I still haven't heard from my friend. Neither has anyone else.

(16,862 posts)She said how sorry she was. Her life is crazy busy (which I know, she has two very young children), works full time as an HR person, AND has a side job.
I told her I wasn't concerned about the resume, I was just worried about her.
You just don't know how relieved I am to hear from her.
