Warning: Coyote Activity

1. Patrons at our rural cafe started feeding a coyote.

The cafe posted signs asking them not to take out food to feed the coyote for all the reasons posted. No one listened, they thought it was cute and took pictures as the coyote came ever closer, tempted by food.

Then one day, as the story goes, a woman came out with a bag of leftovers to feed the coyote. She was also carrying her little dog (yeah, the cafe is that kinda place) she set out the food offering for the coyote and cooed at him, luring him closer.

Reaching for her cell phone to get a picture she sets her cute little dog down and he immediately walks over to sniff the leftovers. The coyote, being a skilled predator, reacted as anyone would expect, he darted in, snatched up the cute little dog and ran off to enjoy his meal.

True story. I feel sorry for the poor little pup that was killed because of his thoughtless, idiot owner. This happened about a year ago and it took several weeks for the animal control people in finally trap that wily coyote and return him to a distant land far, far, away from the cafe.

Don't feed wild animals, folks, especially not predators.

3. I attributed it Photoshop humor, but I did reference

"wily coyote" to carry on with the theme. LOL
