Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsDamn, my FIL had a stroke. Some Lounge vibes please?
He's 76 and has an inoperable aneurysm near his kidney and spine. Not sure yet what the stroke was about, but in his condition it sure is bad news.

I hope they can figure out a good way to treat him, and get him well...
My best vibes for him, and you...as well as those who love him.

(11,546 posts)and many, many good vibes. Aneurysms are scary enough without the complication of a stroke.

of one's effect... and they have a wide variety of treatment plans (even with the
complications involved with the aneurysm). "Stroke" is a scary word... it's not always
the level which one fears.

Vibes to your FIL and all involved for strength and healing and coping and acceptance
of whatever the situation turns out to be. STRONG vibes for that to be the best one
possible.

(19,373 posts)This isn't his first aneurysm, he had one on his stomach repaired a year or so back. This one is so close to his spine that the chances of paralysis are over 50% and it may not be repairable even when they go in. Bad odds that he's not willing to take. I really can't blame him.
It is his first stroke though, and we just don't know what the story is yet. I hope they can come up with some kind of treatment. Time will tell.
Thanks for the vibes Brother.
