The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI had the best day in clinic today.
Nine patients total; All day. It was like a paid vacation. One nice thing about the looser schedule was getting to spend as much time as I needed with the patients who required more. Increased "productivity" requirements are hell on quality medicine.
Nice relaxing day. Loved it...

(156,312 posts)We all need days like that......they remind us why we do what we do.
And I'm sure your patients loved having more time, and more relaxed time, with you.
Congrats!

(53,339 posts)I once used to take a friend in for his appointments before his lung transplant. He always made me take off while he went through his testing and physical therapy, because that was pretty rough on him, and he wanted to spare me that.
He knew that I'd go down and get some Junior Mints at the gift shop and sit and read my book. At one point I sent him a home-made card. I don't remember what I wrote, only that I'd pasted a Junior Mints box on the front.
Any good day in the clinic is something to celebrate.
