THUNK! Or, Let That Be A Lesson To Me

I was so proud of myself. My two major accomplishments in the last week: 1. lost 11 pounds my first week, and 2. did not have hot dogs & beer at the ball game last night (in fact, had only diet iced tea).

It's true, I "fell down" -- ate off-plan -- three times this week, but I'd done that the previous week, too, and lost 11 pounds! So I expected to see a loss when I weighed in this morning.

I saw a loss, all right. Six-tenths of a pound. THUNK!

Besides falling down three times, I've eaten fruit, which is definitely not in the plan. I guess I'll redouble my efforts to stay within the rules of the plan, and stop eating fruit.

I'm a little discouraged, but not terribly.

Thanks for listening.

Don't be discouraged! You're still doing it, and figuring it out!

I'm really thinking you will ace this.

Hang in there!

Don't let one week get you down, you may have been retaining water when you weighed yourself. For a long time I weighed myself every day on a very accurate scale. I would often gain two or three pounds in one day and take two days to get rid of it. Much of it was water retention. I could even gain four pounds if I went to an Asian buffet. Too much food and sodium.

Good luck.

So. Maryland Blue Crabs. The York Revolution was up 8-0 in the 4th with nobody out. We left. Good thing, because the smell of hot dogs and seeing everyone around me with a beer was really getting to me.

A week of dramatic weight loss (lots of water weight) followed by a week where your body is going "wait, WTF?" and then a period of slower weight loss but weight loss nonetheless.

Seems like that would be a good low-cal snack.

Hang in there, Bertha! You can do it!

I'm at about 1000 calories per day. All I ate was some strawberries, which are pretty low cal. I doubt that the strawberries made me not lose weight, but I'm swearing off anyway.

Thanks, Femmocrat.
