We have a black one that can catch a piece of cheese thrown from 16'. And I'm not a good pitcher. He just has catlike reflexes.

that most mammals have that tells them when they are full, essentially leaving them in a constant state of hunger. It must be awful for them but is quite helpful to their humans, who only need dangle the most measly portion of food to get them to perform whatever task needs doing.

Our pair get fed four times a day but the minute the fridge door opens we have a kitchen full of eager Lab!

Mine have occasionally walked away from food but never human-grade meat. And our black one is downright picky, but we don't think he's a fullblooded Lab.
