(19,372 posts)Quite an accomplishment, I hope she is enjoying the glow. What position/s does she play? Is she planning on playing college ball?
We just went to my daughter's team meeting for her U17 season coming up. She plays in the ECNL league. They're going to a tournament in New Jersey next weekend and will be at the league championships in Chicago at the end of June to finish out their U16 season. Then it starts all over in August. It's the devil's sport - never ends. LOL
Here's a shot of bluesbassgirl.

(32,886 posts)at college her freshman year. She had strong division 1 interest from most of the big soccer schools, but she wants to be a doctor, so she does not want soccer to 'own' her in college so she opted to go to a division 2 school.
She plays defense. I have a link somewhere to the video she used in her college apps. Will post it as soon as I find it!

(19,372 posts)I get the Div 2 choice, and applaud her for it. From what I've seen and heard from college coaches, the student part of student/athlete is really focused on in women's soccer, but even with that, the time demands at a Div 1 program are intense. On the other hand, Div 2 programs produce some great soccer too, and if she's getting the education opportunity that furthers her gaols then that's the most important thing.
Sounds like your daughter has a good head on her shoulders. Congratulations to her and to you. I wish her much success as she moves on to this next phase in her life.
