I think I saw the most ineffective PSA ad ever at all the mall today

So they're arguing that counterfeit products are bad by showing an attractive woman who looks great in them? The message I'd take from this "Buying counterfeit accessories for cheaper can make you look as good as this!"

That PSA was weak. Try to guilt people away from knockoffs? Let me know how that works. Odds are the phonies are made in the same sweatshop by the same 8-year old Chinese kid.

I had a lot of fun with my female coworkers as those buses passed us while we were working covered in mud.

But what do I know, I never go out of my way to buy "designer" anything. I acquire most things by serendipity in thrift stores, junkyards, dumpsters, etc., or else I make them. If I truly need something, then sooner or later it shows up in my wanderings or tinkering.

Part of my attitude is that I have little "disposable" income, but the greater part is I just don't care. I'd probably get along better with the "phony" in this advertisement than I would with the "real" deal.

I'd say, "You spent a thousand dollars for THAT???!!!"

My preferred response would be "No, don't be silly, I bought it at the swap meet for thirty bucks," not someone who sneered at me because I was lower class. But either way I might laugh.
