Was trying to join Pinterest. They asked if I wanted an 'invitation'. I gave them my email

address and they sent me a reply: "Thanks for requesting an invite. We'll be sure to send one soon.". Why do I have to wait? is there a bad date list of people on the internet? I mean where it the hold up? Any ideas?

i think it's just the platform they're using, and storing/setting up via emails, because it also links and shows you if you are on Twitter, map of any kind and Facebook.

You'll get your "invite" within 24 hours, and then you can set up your boards and start pinning. It's fun!

When they told me to come up with a user name, I never replied. I just can't think of anything cutesy or crafty.
