I've read that they can be kind of bitey, so trying to pick it up might not be a good idea, either.

at least a dozen very venomous species of terrestrial snakes, and even the kangaroos can kill you.

The last thing you should try to do with a wild animal is try to pick it up. You could lose your face for starters.

With the door open the kaolas will get out as soon as it gets nice and hot inside.
