Hey DU! Tell us your favorite puppet character on TV as a kid.

Mine was Phineas T. Bluster, which I admit is odd. Ollie was a close second. Garfield Goose thought he was "King of the United States"-which took him out of the running-we have another silly goose like that now.

Some of you will know this is the second in a series. Have fun.

Every appearance of Topo Gigio on the Ed Sullivan Show would conclude with the puppet asking, "Eddie, kiss me goodnight!" And a chuckling Ed Sullivan would do just that to the laughs and applause of the audience.

No meanness, no controversy, just good family fun.

Brother Buzz (Latham Foundation) taught me ecology before they even invented the word.

I wasn't keen on the Latham Foundation's religious slant, but I had no problems with their core beliefs:

- Kindness to animals: Builds compassion and empathy for other living creatures

- Kindness to each other: Guides the interaction between people of the same family or social group

- Kindness in other people: Guides the interaction between people of different families or social groups when they meet in a common place

- Kindness to our country: Encourages national common respect for the laws of one’s own nation, traditions, and political structure

- Kindness to other nations: Encourages respect for other nations and their unique laws and traditions

- Kindness to the world: Shows respect for the whole world, for other nations collectively living their varied lives
