I turn 67 tomorrow and my sister sent me a birthday card with money in it. I'm pathetic.

Money isn't everything. If you're healthy and relatively happy then to heck with the rest. As long as you got enough to get by.
And happy birthday tomorrow!

(3,894 posts)At least you have a sister who loves you, and she is generous too. What a wonderful thing! You are obviously a real gift to each other. IMHO, there is nothing pathetic about it.
Have a great day and a wonderful new year!
This is a common practice of my famly....

(33,349 posts)I turned 68 last month and the only birthday card I received was from the management of the apartment building where I live. (I am on fb and did receive numerous birthday wishes, though.)
But it didn't bother me. I bought myself a birthday trip and I plan to do the same next year!
Every day is an opportunity.
Hope you use your birthday $$ for something fun!
And Happy Birthday!
