Has this ever happened to you?

So a few weeks or so ago I was at the dentist getting my teeth cleaned. Everything was going ok, but around midway into the cleaning when she was working on my left lower teeth, I became aware of my tongue. Dear God, what the hell is it doing? For the life of me I couldn't figure out what it was doing and was it in the way. For some reason if felt like it was "trying" to help. The more I thought about of it and trying to keep my "helpful" tongue out of the way, I got tickled. I was really trying to beat back the thoughts and think of something else instead of my tongue becoming self aware. I finely had to stop her and let her know, that I just lost my freaking mind. I had to compose myself and I did let her know what I had been thinking. She said, "No, your tongue isn't in the way at all." I still felt embarrassed.
