I have visited with this patient for six years now. He's in his late sixties. He ran track and field for his country in the 1976 Olympics ( I won't say which country; a trip to the almanac could reveal his name.) and he's been homeless for about the last ten years. He's not a US citizen, and now the Trump government wants to deport him.

I wrote a letter just now disapproving him for overseas travel based on his medical condition. I'm hoping they will delay or cancel his deportation as a result. Be thinking good thoughts for my patient.

26. Seattle has made it pretty clear that they intend to be a sanctuary city.

Tacoma, near where I live, is also pretty welcoming to immigrants and those seeking asylum. It's only the Feds that we have to worry about.
