For instance, you can teleport yourself ...but only a foot at a time
I think I'll go with the ability to levitate ...but only two inches off the ground

(17,984 posts)Seeing into the future would have to be limited, like only to bad things that happen to you. You couldn't guess the winning lottery number five minutes before the drawing. That's completely out. Sorry. Marginal superpowers means marginal.

(17,984 posts)This is the truly interesting part of seeing the future as a marginal super power. It absolutely must not allow you to prevent major events because... paradox! The Greeks understood this when they invented Cassandra: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassandra

Assuming you can become invisible, how the heck do you see anything???
Your retinas are invisible so the light isn't stimulating your rods or cones, right? So how does an invisible person see?

I could pull hot pans out of the oven with no mitts!
And it would be an asset in the bedroom, too.
ProudLib72
(17,984 posts)Maybe 1' max. That's the trouble with marginal super powers. In your case, you would be able to lift your reading glasses to the top of your head and put them down on your nose again. That's it.

(17,984 posts)They tend toward the ridiculous. For instance, suppose you want to have the ability to talk to animals like Dr Doolittle. Well, guess what. You only get to talk to frogs. But hey, it's a super power, right? It's something you can put on your resume!

(1,376 posts)Playoff games and success has been hard to come by, for long suffering long time leaf fans... last time the leafs were in the news, was due to Bobby Hull saying Hitler had some great ideas, he was misquoted, he said Sittler.

(17,246 posts)He should be there next season, right? It's kind of crazy but the Toronto sports media (sometimes a crazy lot) started speculating that Babcock's services could be in jeopardy with a first-round exit this season. First of all, the Leafs aren't gone yet, of course, but even if they do bow out against Boston, it's not Babcock's fault the Maple Leafs drew Boston in the opening round. And they still need to improve the defense as part of their five-year plan to hoist the Stanley Cup.
OneBlueDotBama
(1,376 posts)speculating...lol.
They have a very good team, they know how to win, they're young, many with some awesome hockey skills. If they could pick up someone like a Brent Burns to anchor the blue line, Hainsey & Muzzin, both have a wealth of experience, sadly they didn't pick up Dougie Hamilton.
Forever hopeful, when I was a kid in the 1960's in Toronto, the team was great with young hockey players, lots of community events, open practices, with the glass off the boards, back in the days when many players had summer jobs to pay the bills. Different world these days.

So maybe you can become invisible only when no one is watching...
