Help! Trying to remember a book title/author ...
and it's driving me crazy.
The scene I keep thinking of is at a party in NYC(?) and how everyone loved when Allen Ginsberg showed up with a particular friend (boyfriend?) because he wore a utility belt of cleaning supplies and would clean the hell out of your house while high on speed.
