Cow statue stolen from St. Petersburg steakhouse, police say

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The St. Petersburg Police Department is looking for the person or people responsible for stealing a cow statue from a steakhouse over the weekend.

The large plastic statue was stolen around 3 p.m. Saturday from Harold Seltzer’s Steak House at 3500 Tyrone Boulevard North, according to St. Petersburg police.

The cow is about 12 feet by 3 feet, police said. The owners told police the cow has great sentimental value.

A free meal is offered to anyone who returns the cow.

I have to wonder what the sentimental value would be???

into their vehicle and not turned up when and where they were supposed to.

It happens every couple of days. Usually there is good outcome to it, but one old man did drive all the way from Pensacola to Key West. The Key West PD found him at the Conch Kiosk on Duval Street, saying that he just wanted some fresh conch fritters. But that's about a 10-11 hour drive and a long way to go for Conch Fritters - even tho they are the best !!

Looks like the same cow just painted black instead of brown. Hilltop Steak House Restaurant was an iconic landmark in Saugus Ma right on Rte 1 for over 50 years and had other locations in NH, Ma and Ct.
