ProudLib72
(17,984 posts)Now what have you done to my poor sock?
2naSalit
(86,508 posts)and I didn't see how it got pink anyway. I think maybe something we don't want to talk about was going on in the rinse cycle.

(112,068 posts)I ran across an article last night that discussed on the closing day of the Legislature there is a tradition of wearing pink socks. I think that It was in Missouri.

(17,984 posts)Did he tell you why he needed it?
Control-Z
(15,682 posts)But I can't share that with you. It was (is?) his story to tell. Are you worthy? Only Dobby can say. He'll find a way to contact you, if you are.

(25,839 posts)why we lose socks in the dryer but metal hangers seem to multiply in the closet.
He told me (with a perfectly straight face) that it's because socks are the larval form of hangers.

(17,984 posts)At this point I'm giving up. I googled around and found out about this thing known as "dryer attrition", where a certain percentage of socks just end up as lint in the screen.

(17,984 posts)It could be various shades of grey, but it's still grey. Why not hearing aid beige once in awhile to reduce the monotony?
Harker
(14,007 posts)but yep - grey is is the usual. I suppose if you only dried your surviving white sock you might get pale lint.

(17,984 posts)There is a joke about that, but I forgot how it goes. Something about a guy who asks his friend how to pick up women. The friend tells him about putting a sock in his pants. Next time they meet, he tells his friend that all the women ran away. Turns out he put the sock in the back instead of the front.
