Interestingly, the link at techcrunch has an update towards the bottom of page, said update is dated for...March 4.

5. Note: within the past hour Firefox version 66.0.4 was released and is auto-updating computers

Mine just updated within the past 10 minutes. My extensions are back!

7. Yes.. you can. Allowing for "Study" updates was a temporary fix but didn't work for many

computers, including mine. The new full firefox version just released is supposed to fix all, including android hardware.

I just went back and unclicked it, then closed and re-opened Firefox, but I didn't get a chance to see what would happen, as that's when I got hit with the update.

Either way, I'm good now.

9. Everybody's Firefox back to normal now? If not check your version to make sure it updated to 66.0.4

They really blew it on this issue and that rightfully should be discussed for months to come. But, I gotta hand it to them. Getting it problem solved and a working new update out this quickly over the weekend was pretty impressive.
