Good grief. Some people are calling for a socialist revolution in Westeros.

Monarchy evil! Time for a revolution!

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah. Half the population is iliterate, there is no education-system and there is no journalism, which means that the average citizen has no idea what is going on, how the world works, what needs to be done and how to hold politicians accountable.

Sounds like the perfect environment for a democracy! There is no way this democracy would devolve into an oligarchic neo-aristocracy before the ballots are even counted.

Seriously. Some people are nuts.

They are conservative. It seems like they have a plan. At least they have a lot of mindless followers that I can join. And gosh darn it, it seems like they can't be killed off.

Like the French and Russian revolutions turned out so well.

The best that can be done is don't concentrate power in one individual or institution.
