Had a Facebook chat with some family members that was a memory shaker.

We talked about my health issues, and they reminded me that my mother had a form of what I'm dealing with now.

My "father" was also supposed to as well.

My mom did have trouble walking at times, couldn't be out in the sun, and always wore long sleeves and pants. She had a lot of health issues, but I totally spaced on this one.
And with how prevalent cancer and heart problems are in the family, I didn't think to keep an eye on issues like this.

1. Don't know what you are dealing with now, but adding more family history

to your doc's records could be very helpful. Especially if, since your Mom's issues, many advancements have been made that could help you immeasurably.

4. There are so very many of those types of conditions

And there are so many new biological medicines to treat them. Not all, but many. I know because I have an autoimmune condition and take a med that wasn't available until 5 years ago. It is working.

Don't worry until you need to. Yes, easy to say, but this field of medicine is changing so very quickly that it there is truly great hope that all will be well.

Mind you my dog and the teenage boys in my apartment complex are having a fine time. He's the best wingman they ever had. They love taking him for walks and telling girls how they are helping me.
